Obligations

To recite daily, in Latin or in the vernacular, for the intentions of the Confraternity, one Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory be, with either the invocation “Behold, O God, our protector; and look on the Face of Thy Christ” (Ps 83 v. 10) or “Lord, show us Thy Face, and we shall be saved” (Ps. 79 v. 2)

To wear constantly a little image of the Holy Face, either on a medal, or on the Scapular of the Holy Face.

To attend as often as possible the monthly meeting held in the place where this Confraternity is established.

To propagate as zealously as they can this devotion to the Sorrowful Face of Our Savior.​

Never to blaspheme or curse, and to prevent subordinates, as far as possible, from committing this heinous sin; and, at least to say when they hear such language, “May the Name of the Lord be Blessed,” either aloud or in their heart.

​In a spirit of reparation to visit often – preferably on Sundays – the Most Blessed Sacrament, where the Holy Face awaits the adoration of the faithful.

To have one’s name inscribed on the Register of the Confraternity.
