Spring 2009: Tax officials inform the Monastery that the vacant land in front of the monastery isn't elligible as "tax exempt" because it is vacant. They give the Sisters until Sept. to use the land for "religious purposes". As friends and supporters learn of the Sisters' plight the calls and e-mails start to circulate. Help starts to arrive.
July 16: St. Joan arrives (see photo)
July: Money for a St. Joseph & St. John Vianney statues is donated.
July: Money for the fence is donated.
Aug. 3: Work begins on the fence.
Aug. 3: Work halts on the fence pending locating utility lines.
Aug. 6: Work resumes.
Aug. 13: Fence is completed!
Aug. Money is donated for: St. Francis & Brother wolf; Our Lady of Guadelupe; and Our Lady of the Rosary.
Aug. 17: St. Joseph, St. John Vianney, and St. Francis & brother wolf make their appearance.
Sept. 25: Soon Our Lady of the Rosary and Our Lady of Guadelupe will grace the graden. Sisters still need some benches.
